Universal Family Gatherings

The Universal Family Gatherings are held twice monthly, offering flexibility to fit around professional and personal commitments:

  • One weekend session

  • One weekday evening session

Each gathering lasts 90 minutes and takes place online.

What to Expect

Each Universal Family Gathering follows a simple and open flow.

We begin with a clear introduction to the Universal Family metaphor:

  • The Parent — a natural sense of stability, presence, or wholeness

  • The Elder — the thinking mind in its different expressions

  • The Child — the raw, felt sense of experience

From here, we explore the pivotal role of the Parent.

Rather than something to create or develop, the Parent is gently inquired into—revealing how a sense of stability may already be present. This may be recognised in different ways: as a felt sense in the body, as a psychological orientation, or as a deeper sense of inseparability.

The Universal Family does not favour one way of experiencing this over another.
It simply meets experience where it is.

The Languages of the Elder

We then explore how the thinking mind (the Elder) naturally expresses itself through three primary movements:

  • Self-consciousness — anxiety, identification, self-limiting or personal thinking

  • Practicality — organisation, structure, problem-solving

  • Enthusiasm — energy, creativity, movement toward life

These are not problems to fix, but natural patterns to be recognised.

How Experience Is Met

From here, the exploration deepens.

We begin to notice how experience is already being met:

  • How self-conscious or limiting thoughts are received—whether through openness, not-knowing, or simple reframing

  • How the mind’s activity may settle without effort when seen clearly

  • How the body’s felt sense—the Child—is met, whether as sensation to be supported or simply as part of what is appearing

Depending on how the Parent is recognised, this may be experienced as:

  • A natural allowing of everything as it is

  • A psychological shift in relationship to thought and feeling

  • A somatic sense of grounding and ease

A Living Exploration

There is no fixed method or correct way for this to unfold.

Each person discovers how the metaphor reveals itself in their own experience.

From that discovery, a more natural relationship with thought, feeling, and sensation may begin to emerge—without effort, and without the need to change anything.

The Space

A large part of each gathering is open to questions and shared exploration.

You are welcome to participate, or simply listen.

There is nothing to learn or master.

Nothing to practise or apply.

Only something to notice.

Ongoing, Not Sequential

These gatherings are not a course or programme.

Each session stands on its own, and you are free to attend as often—or as occasionally—as you feel drawn.

Many participants return over time, bringing fresh questions and noticing new depth in what is explored.
